Today I am thrilled to announce the completion of Flood Tide, the sequel to The Sentinel’s Call.
After the explosive conclusion to The Sentinel’s Call, Kevlin and his companions are drawn to the imperial court of Tamera to free the emperor from a deadly curse that threatens to consume the capital. There they enter a realm of intrigue where the truth is as fickle as Akillik’s infamous Wheel, and secret assassins attack from the shadows. They must discover the identities of the conspirators, who may be allied with the ShadeLeech Tanathos before they deliver the death-blow to the heart of the empire. At the same time, a greater danger lurks within Kevlin, for he now struggles to control the magic that nearly destroyed him in the final battle of Il’Aicharen. If he tries to abandon the power entrusted to him, it may drive him insane, but if he loses control, he could unleash cataclysmic destruction upon the entire city.
Flood Tide is the next exciting chapter in the Catalyst series and currently stands at 170,000 words. I will be looking for early beta readers to read it and look for plot holes or other high level issues soon.
In related news, I am working with an editor in England on a detailed edit of The Sentinel’s Call. I am eager to complete the revisions and polishing that will result from the effort, and hope the novel will finally be ready for publication.
I will also be returning to Set In Stone, my YA fantasy novel, to complete a third revision by December. At that point, Joshua Essoe, a freelance editor, is scheduled for a full edit of the manuscript. The result should be a polished draft, also ready for publication next year.
I’ll be attending World Fantasy Con in Toronto November 1st, and hope to meet up with many people there.
