Summer is always a busy, fun time. This year was no different. With three teen-agers in the family – the oldest we just dropped off at college – life is pretty full. We managed some fun family time, but the summer is fast coming to an end, so it’s a good time to reflect on what we’ve accomplished and what’s still to come.
First – Set in Stone is still selling steadily. For a while, it held a great spot in the first page of the Amazon’s teen fantasy -> sword & scorcery list. It was interesting to see that as soon as it slipped off that first page, sales dropped significantly. It’s still selling, though, and I’ve already got 69 reviews on Goodreads. I expect it to surge again as we prepare to release No Stone Unturned.
Speaking of No Stone Unturned, edits are well underway. I had hoped to complete them by now, but I decided to make more substantial changes to the story than I had first planned. Although edits are taking longer, the resulting story is going to be so much better. I can’t wait to finish! The cover is complete, and we’ll have two new, full-page maps! I’ll release more details of the maps in the near future. At this point, I expect the release date in November.
Third – Memory Hunter was released July 24th in both hardcover and ebook formats!
The groundbreaking opening to The Facetakers trilogy is a fast-paced, thrilling adventure that drags Sarah into the shadowy world of facetakers and rune powers.
Memory Hunter sets the stage for an epic struggle through time against superhuman-enhanced enemies who seek to siphon power from pivotal moments in history in order to reshape the future.
To help celebrate the launch of Memory Hunter, Saving Face – the prequel to the series – is currently listed for free on Kobo! Check it out, and download your free copy.
Rune Warrior – book two of the trilogy – will be released late 2015 or early 2016, with Aeon Champion – book three, and the final chapter in the story – following soon after.
In addition to working as fast as I can to release these sequels, I’m also planning to attend the SLC Comic Con in September. I’ll be joining the Wordfire Press booth, along with quite a few other authors. Everyone in the area should come visit. It’ll be a fun opportunity to meet a lot of authors and get your hands on some excellent books. I’ll have hardcover copies of Memory Hunter on the table.
