I was speaking with a friend today about the upcoming holidays and how much I enjoy holiday foods, particularly cookies, and I mentioned that last year we did the Twelve Days of Christmas Cookies, with photos and recipes. I had thought I posted them all to my blog, but turns out I just posted them to Facebook.
So to make them easier to find, and to whet appetites for this upcoming holiday season full of goodies and treats, here is a review of the Twelve Days of Christmas Cookies! (Click on the links or the images to get the recipes)
For the First cookie of Christmas we tried delicious Cherry-Almond Packages. These little beauties are delicious, and a fun change from more traditional cookies.

For the Fourth cookie of Christmas, Santa brought to me – Rolo Pretzel Delights! These little beauties are super easy to make and super delicious. And desserts this small don’t have any calories, right?

For the Fifth cookie of Christmas, we decided to sample some Christmas cookies at the Nutcracker, with an angel overseeing the experiment.
For the Sixth cookie of Christmas, it has to be M&M Cookies! These awesome desserts use the same base batter as the Chocolate chip cookies we shared a couple days ago, but without the oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Instead – add M&Ms

For the Seventh cookie of Christmas, we made Gingerbread cookies! The gingerbread men ran away with the photo and the recipe, but they’re commonly available, so I’m not going to stress about it.
For the Eighth cookie of Christmas, Santa gave to me – Brown Sugar Shortbreads! (Otherwise known as Chocolate-dipped Almond shortbreads. These are so good!

For the Tenth cookie of Christmas, Santa inspired Jenny Rosso Morin to make powdered sugar snowmen! They taste as great as they look. Recipe coming soon. After dessert.

For the Eleventh cookie of Christmas, we used the same cookie base used for the snowmen to make these beauties (baked for 14 minutes at 375)
Emily Morin is a baking machine!
For the Twelfth cookie of Christmas, we made Naniamo Bars. Kind of like Boston Cream in a brownie form. Yum.
